In 1998 a river front restaurant for cottagers, pleasure boat and highway traffic was constructed. The restaurant has a well designed kitchen, interior dining area and bar, as well as a large outdoor deck overlooking the water. A forty five foot wood and steel dock provides boat tie-ups and there is ample space for customers coming off the highway to park their vehicles. Picnic tables are positioned by the river to provide extra dining space for customers (especially those with young families of a more energetic nature). The bar and restaurant are fully licensed by the Liquor Licensing Board of Ontario for the serving of beer, wine and liquor.
The restaurant-bar is frame construction with insulated walls, to facilitate possible four season operation. Cedar clad walls and a cedar shingle roof provide a low maintenance and esthetically pleasing exterior. The roof was designed to allow for easy extension of the building to enclose the deck, with ample space remaining to construct additional deck or patio areas.
The kitchen meets all Ontario Health and Fire standards. It is equipped with a large commercial stove, two deep fryers, chest and standup freezer, large glass front refrigerator, refrigerated preparation table, triple stainless sinks, and CO 2 protected exhaust hood. These items are all in excellent condition and have been used for less than two years. In addition there is a commercial coffee maker, milk shake machine, cash register and all the table, glass and kitchen ware necessary.
The bar area is highlighted by a twenty foot birdseye maple bar with stools and includes a large stainless steel beer and wine fridge. An electronic cash register and credit card verification system are included. The enclosed area in front of the bar provides table seating for sixteen. Full width folding glass doors lead onto a 600 sq ft cedar deck overlooking the river with seating capacity for thirty. Five picnic tables are located between the deck and the river as well as a playground area for children. A separate washroom building provides facilities for men and women.
The business portion of the property (boat and restaurant) occupies the riverfront third of the property. The remainder is ideal for construction of a residence, rental cabins, camping grounds or could be severed. It is a unique opportunity.
